Zoo

Today was the last day we would be able to use our Como Zoo season pass so we made the most of it. I decided to just go alone with Alex so we could do exactly what we wanted... like sit on the Frog Hopper all day. Kitty came with. Alex was pretty upset they wouldn't let her on the rides. The "no loose objects" rule bites! Alex was pretty sure this turtle was real. He's sat on it before but still... he was so afraid it would bite.
We rode the carousal for the first time. I loved it!! It's a restored carousal from the Minnesota State fair, built in 1914. Think of how many people felt the same excitement we did going round and round.
Alex also got to be the only kid riding in the first car of the train. He has been wanting to ride in this engine since the summer started but other kids always beat him to it.
We shared cotton candy... before lunch! Messy stuff by the way.
I even sprung for the Super Dig! Usually the poor boy sits on it and pretends to work.

Definitely getting the ride pass again next year! Totally worth it!

So long summer...

I always get this song stuck in my head when we're headed to the zoo.We went to the Como Zoo today with the Letts'. It was a very humid day but that didn't stop the boys. My friend Erinn was awesome and cooled us all down with smoothies. Yummo!

Thank you guys we had a blast. I'm so happy that the boys got along so well.

Como Zoo

My friend Lynsay brought her daughter Noa (7 weeks older than Alex) and her 5 week old son down to visit for the day.We brought the kids to the zoo and to play on the rides. Alex has a season pass for the rides and Noa got the day pass so they rode every ride they could about 4 times! Happy kids!! This Frog Hopper was the best! It must have made their bellies feel funny because Noa yelled, "Mommy my bottom is tickley!" Alex got a kick out of this firetruck ride too. He got to go up high in the bucket and get wet! Can't beat that!


My dad brings over large rolls of bubble wrap from work. We recycle it by running fast up and down the driveway! Baby fireworks! We are loved by our neighbors.
